It has been awhile since Doug and I took a Saturday drive. He wanted to check out Skagit River Ranch in Sedro Wooley; well-known for their grass-fed beef. But first we had to stop in Mount Vernon to have lunch at the Skagit Valley Co-op, based on our friend Richard's recommendation. Delicious curried tofu, salad bar, ratatouille and teriyaki chicken breast along with super-nice employees.
We even bumped into a former collegue from Doug's employer at the microwave! I love our small world.
It was really this big! And that was the single!
That's a quarter for comparison.
I remember this produce stand from the olden days when it was a quarter of the size it is now. So glad it is doing well.
The Skagit Valley is very aware of the impact of humans on the land...loved this section of the store.
It was a great weekend. We ate some terrific food, connected with local small businesses and enjoyed the bounty this part of the world has to offer...It really doesn't get much better than that. Hope your weekend was terrific!
Hi there Lisa!
