Eat Your Veggies

My haul from today...as summer advances the bags get REALLY full.
Corn and squash and onions, oh my!

We are long-time members of The Root Connection in Woodinville. The RC is celebrating it's 25th year as a Community Supported Agriculture Farm (CSA). If I remember correctly, I think we have been members for a least 15 of those years. The produce is picked that morning, organically grown and the Farm prides itself on its sustainability. Sustainable to the Earth and the employees.
I love my Farm days because of U-pick herbs (basil!!!!) and flowers (sunflowers!!!!). There are chickens and wild blackberry patches and birds and sunshine and Mt. Rainier in the distance. It is like a mini-vacation each week.

  1. How Fun! I would love to visit Woodinville, I have friends in Mt. Vernon, maybe its time to take a little vacation. We have a farm near by, called Carvers, last year I picked basil and made pesto and froze it in ice cube trays, so yummy... added to soups.xo Glad & Celia/Junebug Designs
